Questions
1. Leave me a casual comment of no particular significance, like the song title/group you are listening to right this instant, or your favorite kind of sandwich (and why), or maybe your favorite game and how many hours a day you play it.
2. I will respond by asking you five personal questions so I can get to know you better.
3. Update your LJ with the answers to the questions.
4. Include this explanation and offer to ask someone else in your own post. This bit is The Mandatoryâ„¢ bit.
5. When others respond with a desultory comment, you will ask them five questions.
1. If you could alter one historical event and change the course of world history and our present day, what would you change and what effect do you think it would have on us?
I'm not sure I would, really. I'm kind of wary of the whole meddling with time thing, just 'cause it tends to have completely unforseen consequences. Plus I know very little about history. Way to pick my weak subject, Lacy. If I had to pick one, and I'm not sure this counts as 'historical,' I'd stop the terrorist bombings that happened in Riyadh in 2003. That way my friend wouldn't have gotten shot in the arm, and maybe security wouldn't have gotten so crazy there. And I'd just sort of give a lot to not have had to live in that city during that time. It was pretty bad.
2. You wake up with a superpower and become a hero or a villain. Who are you? Costume, power, super identity, what you fight for, etc?
I would probably be some really crappy kind of hero. Like, I care too much about truth and justice and whatnot to be a villain, but I can't see me being very good at being a hero either. I'd have telekenesis because it's cool and you're really only limited to what you can imagine. The costume would be black and stylish, or something. Simple. No yellow spandex for me, thanks. I can't think of a super-name.
3. You become able to shift into one animal. What is it, and why?
Cat. Most definitely. Small, so I could get to places I can't easily as a human, and yet unremarkable so that no one would be like 'why is there a llama walking down the road?' I'd be able to see in the dark, I'd be cute and fuzzy, and I'd have the remarkable ability to sleep absolutely everywhere.
4. If you could do anything in the world for a day, regardless of cost, travel time, etc. what would you do?
This is hard. There's so much I want to do, but most of it is in terms of learning and that would take more than a day. Singing/dance lessons, etc. I'd love to be in a production of Cirque du Soleil though, if I randomly gained the ability to perform at that level. And the crazy flexibility or something. Plus I just love performing, and I'd love to do it professionally.
5. You are witness to one major historical event, anything you want. What is it? Why?
Oh, or I'd watch Stonewall, that'd be pretty sweet.
