Aloo!

Here's an update from good ol' Ontario (or something like that. At least the air is breathable right now. I'm so not used to humidity). *waves in Cat's general direction* The plane trip was...long. Not as long as my parents, but long enough because of some electrical storms in Toronto. Perhaps I should start at the beginning...
I got up at six-thirty the day before yesterday and the plane was scheduled to leave at nine. I got a shower, finished packing, all that good stuff. Ben didn't move. At least, not until seven, when our ride showed up to take us to the airport. Apparently Ben can pack very quickly when he's panicking. xD Ben and Kevin (our driver-person) were just heading out the door when the phone rang. I picked up.
It was Air Canada, and our flight was canceled due to thunder storms in Toronto. They'd re-booked us to another flight at 1:30 pm.
Great, just great.
At least it gave Ben time to vacuum and wash his bathroom. You'd think he'd have done it before, but he spent the previous night cuddling with his girlfriend until the wee hours of the morning. *rolls eyes* Not that I was much more productive, but it did prevent me from going on the computer.
So...we got to the airport at twelve-ish after going for brunch with Kevin. The flight was pretty uneventful until we got to Toronto. (Pink Panther as an in-flight movie? Oh Goddess. It looked worse than Down With Love. I didn't watch it). Then we circled around the airport for an hour because we couldn't land. Then we sat on the runway for another hour because the flights were backed up like whoa and all the gates were taken. Not fun. We were supposed to (after the re-scheduling) get there at around seven. We finally got off the plane at nine-thirty. o.x Then we had to get our luggage. With at least ten other flights in there as well trying to get their luggage.
Mom and Dad were waiting for us, which actually kind of surprised me. I thought they'd take the bus to St. Catherine's when they got the message that we were going to be uber-late. Apparently not, and they'd been sitting in the Toronto airport for eight hours. Not cool. The airport isn't even all that exciting.
Then we had to wait some more. >.< The bus that was taking us to Grannie's had one more person scheduled to come with us, and their plane had just landed. Great, because that meant that the stupid plane would be sitting on the stupid runway for a stupid hour before he could get off. We didn't leave the airport until twenty after eleven.
We didn't get to Grannie's until after one in the morning.
*sigh* Stupid weather.
Ben and I weren't so bad, seeing as it was only like eleven by our inner-clocks. Mmm...jet-lag. Uncle David came over from Ottawa yesterday, so now there's seven people in this house with two bathrooms. Ah, the lineups.
We haven't done much yet, except get spoiled with fresh fruit and pies. We're planning on going to some carnival down in the town sometime this afternoon. It should be fun, if I can get some money out of the bank to waste. I've got about $1.40 on me right now, which isn't really good for anything.
I wonder who won the soccer game...I hope it was England.
